Jack Grealish officially signs for Manchester City, for a British record of $188 Million

Jack Grealish completed his medical with Manchester City today, officially making him the most expensive transfer in British football history.

Grealish rejected Aston Villa’s new contract proposals, which would have seen him earn more than what City were willing to offer.

The former Villa captain found it too hard to resist working under Guardiola, with aspirations of winning the Premier League and Champions League.

Many Villa fans have taken to social media to express their disappoint with Jack, highlighting the chance he had of becoming an icon at his boyhood club.

Jack has proven to be a very versatile player while at Villa, his main position has been the left side of the attack, but has also performed in the attacking midfield role.

In an interview with The Express and Star, Jack said his favourite position is in the midfield.

“I’ve always said my favourite position would be playing in the midfield”

“It is where I want to play at Villa, but it just so happens at the moment I am playing well in the position I am in and is better for the team”

Reports suggest Pep plans on making Jacks wishes come true, as Pep will deploy him in the number eight role, providing competition with Gundogan.

Grealish will now turn his attention to Sunday, where he will be in contention to play against Leicester City in the Community Shield, a chance to get his hands on his first bit of silverware for the club.
