Harry Kane has refused to return to training amid Manchester City interest

The England captain was due back in training on the 2nd of August, from a short, post Euros holiday.

Kane wants a move to Manchester City, and believed he had a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Tottenham, that would allow him to leave.

However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is refusing to negotiate for anything under £165m, a price both Man City and Harry Kane deem unfeasible.

Manchester City value Kane around £100m, however, reports suggest they would allow players to be added as apart of the deal.

“He (Daniel Levy) might want to sell me, he might be thinking if i can get £100m for you then why not, i’m not going to be worth that for the next two, three years” Kane said to Gary Neville on ‘The Overlaps’ YouTube Interview.

Kane is hoping that his refusal to return to training will force Levy to lower his asking price, and allow Kane to complete a transfer to the champions.

With the Premier League starting in just nine days, Kane is running out of time.

Daniel Levy and Tottenham are in complete control as Kane still has three years left on his contract, they are in no rush to sell the striker.

If a deal is to be completed, it will be under Levy’s conditions.
